I have been one of Chapter 8's most loyal fans, supporting her career long before she became 'Anita' at Palmetto Motel.
Ms. Baker's concert started over an hour and a half late, with the performance not beginning until after 9:30 PM. The acoustics were poor, and both Ms. Baker and the band seemed inexperienced, frequently asking the audience what to play next. Despite her engaging with the crowd more than singing, her vocal performance was exceptional. Ms. Baker omitted some of her most popular songs, and hurried through the final song to avoid paying the crew overtime. If she had started on time, perhaps she would have finished on time. I felt deceived this time, but I won't be fooled again.
